23 November 2023
Our Women’s teams take centre stage and deliver for #ThisGirlCan week. With National Trophy, Conference Cup, Conference Trophy and BUCS fixtures taking place up and down the country.

At Clifton Sports Hub, with 2 oppositions being current leaders in their respective leagues, Women’s Basketball 2nd team took a close win against Derby 1s 60-57 in the Conference Cup, followed by our Netball 5th team beating Leicester 3rd 37-36 in the Conference Trophy. Both NTU teams are now through to the Quarter Finals in February.
The Women’s Hockey club also had a very successful week with 4 out of 4 wins mean our 3rd, 4th and 6th teams all progress through to their Conference Quarter Final, with the 2nd team making it to the last 16 of the National Trophy after beating Leeds Beckett 1st team 3-2.
Back to the BUCS league results, Women’s Lacrosse 1st team won 15-7 against Birmingham 1st to solidify 3rd position in Prem North 1. Over in Leicester, Women’s Rugby 2nd team took their first win in the Tier 3 competition beating DMU 1st team 22-25. Well done ladies!
