Why did you choose to study a postgraduate degree?

"I chose to pursue a postgraduate degree to enhance my academic knowledge and experience. By delving into advanced studies, I believe it will deepen my understanding of my chosen subject."

Why did you choose your course at NTU?

"I previously studied Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Relations in my home country, China. On the strong recommendation of a friend, I decided to further my studies in the field at NTU. I was particularly drawn to NTU for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse learning environment."

What’s your experience been like of your course so far? Can you pick out any highlights?

"So far, I have been feeling positive and thoroughly enjoying my course. I have attended all my lectures, and the highlights include excellent lecturers and tailored learning support. Engaging in topic discussions has always been my favourite aspect, as it ensures that all voices are heard."

What does Social Sciences mean to you?

"For me, Social Sciences is about connecting with people, communities, and the wider world. It empowers me to embrace diversity and drive positive change. At its core, it focuses on humanity and the lives we lead."


Did you find it easy to make friends and settle in at NTU?

"It is easy to make like-minded friends and settle in at NTU. Here, we share knowledge and experiences while supporting one another. Most importantly, we are part of the NTU family."


What’s next for you after NTU?

"I have a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable people and advancing the cause of humanity. My goal is to work with humanitarian organisations after completing my studies at NTU, where I hope to apply my knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. I am passionate about promoting equality, dignity, and positive change on a global scale."


Why did you want to study in the UK?

"I chose to study in the UK because of its renowned academic standards and diverse, inclusive learning environment. The UK's multicultural society and its emphasis on critical thinking and open dialogue is providing me with unique opportunities to broaden my perspectives and connect with peers from around the world, enriching my educational journey."
