What motivated you to pursue an MBA, and why did you choose Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Business School?
"A work colleague recommended the MBA at NTU, my work career was embedded in clinical services in an NHS Trust and the opportunity to challenge my thinking and work alongside peers from other industries was a big motivating factor for me."
How has the MBA programme at Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Business School impacted your career progression and personal growth?
"I have developed a more strategic and reflective approach to the way that I lead, this was prompted by a structured approach to my personal development using insights from academic learning."
What is your current job title and responsibilities?
Associate Director of Operations.
"I have responsibility for the operational management and leadership of mental health services for older people across Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé City and County. Ensuring regulatory compliance and performance, safe and effective delivery of in-patient and community services as well as dementia diagnostic services and liaison psychiatry services across multiple sites."
What aspects of the NBS MBA programme did you find most valuable?

Were there any specific skills or knowledge areas from the MBA that have been particularly useful in your career?
"The opportunity to apply academic theory to work related projects has influenced how I approach stakeholder engagement and project management, some really useful insights that I was able to use in active projects."
How has the network you built at NBS influenced your career or professional opportunities?
"The network and connections I have made have been so valuable, being able to reconnect as Alumni feels really positive and creates unique networking opportunities, I wouldn’t necessarily access within my day-to-day work."
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering the programme?
"Don’t hesitate, if you are seeking something to challenge your thinking and push you out of your comfort zone then the NBS MBA programme is a great step."
What was your favourite part about MBA Reconnect?
"Reconnecting with my cohort but also being able to meet and network with a whole new group of like-minded peers, the workshops were thought provoking and engaging."
