More about Jess
“I chose to study at NTU because I fell in love with the city as well as the University - it’s great to have everything you need right on your doorstep.
“I’ve really enjoyed learning different skills in Year One and Year Two and being able to apply these in my final year, where you have the freedom to design and make for a production you are interested in.
“It’s really helpful having tutors that have experience in the industry, such as Jane Cowood who has expansive knowledge in making ballet costumes for the Royal Opera House. She has helped me to make my costume for The Firebird ballet production.
“The course provides lots of industrial equipment such as sewing machines and steam irons, which gives you lots of experience ready for working in industry. At a University level, there’s a variety of spaces around the University to study and socialise. The library stocks a great selection of historical costume books.
“I love living and studying in the middle of the city because there are a lot of quirky and independent places dotted around. You’ll always find somewhere new to eat or visit - Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé has something to suit every type of student.”
