Undergraduate scholarships
Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Law School are pleased to offer the following scholarships for undergraduate students.
The Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Law School (NLS) Somal Memorial Scholarship is available to a student who has come from a local authority care background. To be eligible please see the criteria below:
- have been identified by NTU as being in care, evidenced by a letter from the Local Authority.
- have been in the care of a local authority in the UK (or have been looked after by relatives who have a court order to look after you in the UK) at some point since the age of 16; and
- are under 25 on 1 September 2025;
- have been made an offer on any of the NLS full-time LLB Law courses;
- are expected to (and does) enrol, starting their studies with NTU for the 2025/26 academic year;
- are a UK resident.
The NLS Somal Memorial Scholarship is a maintenance scholarship of up to £333 and is paid at the beginning of each academic year of study, excluding placement years, study abroad years and any year that may have to be repeated.
Eligible applicants will be emailed in August/early September with details of how to apply.
Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Law School is pleased to offer a competitive maintenance scholarship in memory of Samee Mozumder, a student who studied at Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Law School. The Scholarship has a total value of up to £10,000, to be divided between one or more successful scholarship applicants and paid over three full-time academic study years. Each yearly payment will be divided into three equal termly installments.
In order to be eligible for this prestigious scholarship a student must:
- have been identified by NTU as having a household income of £25,000 or less*
- have been made an offer on any of the NLS full-time LLB Law courses
- is expected to (and does) enrol with NTU for the 2025/26 academic year
- is a UK resident
*In order for your household income to be verified, you must tick the box on your Student Finance application allowing them to share your information with the University. Without this option ticked, you will not be sent an application form. Ticking this box ensures that you will be included in the application process and an application form will be sent to you. The application will come with guidance and will provide deadlines and where to submit the application.
