Experiential Project
In your final semester you'll take on a major experiential project*, giving you a fantastic opportunity to use the theories and knowledge you've gained to produce a challenging piece of work with real impact. This can involve addressing real-world challenges in the workplace, conducting independent research or gaining valuable experience internationally. You can choose from one of the following projects:
NBS Consultancy Experience Projects
Consultancy Experience Project
Working in a group of about five people, you will be assigned a business challenge supplied by a real-life company which you will need to solve. You will have six weeks to complete the challenge with academic supervision and at the end of the six weeks you will need to present your findings back to your client company along with a 3000 word written report, before undertaking individual reflective and conceptual assignments.
Rhian Davies studied MSc Marketing and commented saying "getting the opportunity to apply theory to a practical situation was important to me, so the consultancy project was key to me choosing this course."
In-company Experience Project

The In-company Experience Project allows individual students the chance to work on a real-life business challenge whilst working full time, unpaid, within the client organisation. Successful applicants will be assigned a challenge within a local client business where you will work individually for about 12 weeks or more. During this time you'll apply the theories you've learnt to a substantial, live project and at the end project you will deliver a 3000 word written report and presentation to your client.
If you are interested in signing your company up as part of the Consultancy Experience Project or In-company Experience Project, please visit the Postgraduate Consultancy Projects page for further information.
Business Research Project

This project is a traditional piece of independent research, creating an academic research paper, presentation, and methodological reflection. This project is only available to students with significant prior work experience or the desire to progress to a PhD.
