Emergency and urgent help
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a physical one. If you feel that you cannot keep yourself safe or there is a significant risk of harm to yourself or others you should seek immediate emergency help.

If you are not at immediate risk, but you do need to access help urgently for your mental health, the following services are available:

Face to face support
Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈéshire Crisis Sanctuaries are open to anyone who is near to, or at crisis point and needs a safe space to talk. are available online.
Emergency support on campus
The Universities' Security Team are available 24/7 if you have any concerns about your safety, or the safety of another student on campus or have a student emergency out of hours. They can be contacted on 0115 848 2222.
NTU Safe Places are open overnight on our City, Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses. They are available to all students who need support, help or just a little time out.

Emergency support for victims of sexual assault
To report sexual assault and get immediate support in Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé, contact the , a specialist 24/7 service for people 18+ who have been raped or sexually assaulted.

NTU has dedicated, trained Sexual Violence Liaison Officers who can offer support to any student who has experienced any form of sexual violence, now or in the past. Emergency support for victims of domestic violence
If you are experiencing violence, abuse or coercive control, please consider accessing the following in an emergency:
- Call 999 if a crime is in progress or if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
- Call 101 for non-emergencies to report a crime.

Emergency support for victims of crime
If you have been a victim of crime, it is important to contact the police.
- Call 999 if a crime is in progress or if someone is in immediate danger.
- Call 101 for non-emergencies, such as reporting a crime, you have some information to give to the police or to make an enquiry.
- If you are on campus, you can call NTU Campus Security 24/7 on 0115 848 2222.
