Role

Alan Dury is a Senior Lecturer for postgraduate and undergraduate teaching of law. As a very experienced solicitor, his focus is on training and preparing students for life as a professional lawyer. He is co-course leader for NTU's SQE (Solicitors Qualification Exam) and LPC courses. He is also co-module leader for Applied Legal Knowledge (LLB), LPC Advanced Civil Litigation and for SQE Dispute Resolution.

Career overview

Alan qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and specialises in civil litigation. He trained at DLA Piper LLP, becoming a partner in 2000. He has been a partner at Hill Dickson LLP and Kennedys LLP. He joined NTU as a lecturer in 2021, having previously acted as an external examiner at NTU .
