Debbie Clarke has taught at Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Business School (NBS) as an hourly paid lecturer since 2016 and became a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Assistant Course Leader for BA (Hons) Business Management and Marketing in 2023.
Debbie is keen to build links with the business community and currently runs networking events in industry with learners and is mentoring students creating a new Marketing, Advertising and Business Society. Debbie is also working with a team to create a toolkit to support student engagement at NBS.

Debbie Clarke is an entrepreneur known as who launched her first business in 2011. As a lecturer, she brings a wealth of experience in digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and business leadership to her learners. She has run a digital agency and is a business strategy and marketing coach and trainer who has supported thousands of businesses.
Debbie was named the UK’s Digital Woman of the Year in 2020 alongside other awards and is co-founder of the which creates toolkits and training to empower women in business and enterprise, women on low incomes and teenagers in alternative provision schools.
Debbie first entered the marketing world in 2001 as a Marketing Assistant at Boots UK working within the Advantage Card team.
Research areas
Debbie’s research focuses on practical applications of marketing and on female entrepreneurship and scholarship. Debbie is currently working within a team to create a toolkit supporting students engagement within NBS. She is also a member of the EPIC group at NBS working towards engaging in practice for impact creation.
External activity
Debbie is a Founding Advisory Member of Female Founders Rise, a community for .
Debbie is part of an arts and heritage project working towards increasing statues of women across the UK. The project raised over £200k to bring two statues of women to the green heart of Broadmarsh in Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé. In the UK (if you remove Queen Victoria) only 5% of statues are of women, there are more dogs and men named John.
