David Russhard is a lecturer / senior lecturer in civil engineering in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.

Career overview

David graduated from Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé and went to Black and Veatch, spending a short time in design, but mostly as part of the site management team in waste water.

He has since spent 8 years working for a company manufacturing constructions adhesives; entailing design of structural and non-structural fixings, as well as serving on standardisation committees.

Research areas

David has been involved in research for Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Building Codes (IBCs) for reinforced concrete, focused on areas connected with post-installed anchors, such as the effects of fracture energy on anchors loaded in shear, and effects on concrete strength by aggregate origin.
