Free Play for Fun
We're opening up our play for fun sessions, including Football and Basketball sessions exclusively for students who identify as female.
Simply download the NTU Sport app and book on to the session of your choice.
Free Fitness Classes
All fitness classes will be available to book for free through the NTU Sport App.
Simply choose your session, book on, and try something new.
Female "Learn to Lift" sessions
Our expert Fitness Instructors are putting on some beginner sessions for students who identify as female to get to grips with the basics. Perfect if you're looking for some tips and guidance on how to get started on your fitness journey.
Pull-up Foundations: Wednesday 4 December 1 pm
Targeting the back, arms, core, and shoulders, pull-ups are an impressive show of strength and skill. This 45-minute workshop will take you through the technique and conditioning required to achieve your first pull-up. Suitable for both beginners and those looking to improve their pull-up strength. Instructor: Niall
Push-up Foundations: Wednesday 4 December 7 pm
Push-ups are an efficient way to target your chest, core, and arm muscles, as well as improving your posture and athletic ability. In this 45-minute class, you’ll learn proper push up technique and strength exercises to support your push-up ability. Suitable for beginners who want to achieve their first push-up, as well as those looking to improve. Instructor: Cass
UV spin classes
Spin classes with a twist! Grab your white t-shirt and glow sticks head down! UV Spin classes are a great way to mix up your routine and exercise at your own pace and intensity.
All sessions will be hosted at the City Sports Centre. Times:
- Monday: 5.05 pm – 5.50 pm
- Tuesday: 1.15 pm – 2 pm
- Wednesday: 6.10 pm – 6.55 pm
- Thursday: 1.10 pm – 1.55 pm
Girls Night In 2024
Girls Night In returns on Tuesday 3 December - an evening dedicated to celebrating and empowering students who identify as female.
Join us for a variety of free activities including crafts, stalls, henna and performances from our Dance and Burlesque clubs. We've got your taste buds covered too with free pizza. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing, ready for activities!
Sports Club Sessions
Some our Sport Clubs are also putting on some taster sessions. These are a great way to get a feel for a club and sport and meet likeminded people.
Women’s Lacrosse:
- Clifton 3G: Tuesday 6 pm - 7 pm
- Clifton 3G: Sunday 4 pm - 6 pm
Trampolining (mixed sessions):
- Clifton Sports Hall: Monday 4 pm - 7 pm
- Clifton Sports Hall: Thursday 3.30 pm - 6 pm
Women’s Rugby:
- Clifton: Monday 7 pm - 9 pm
Women’s Gaelic Football:
- Clifton: Thursday 6 pm - 7 pm
Athletics:
- City: Monday 6pm
