The partnership between Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Business School (NBS) and , established in 2021, enhances the curriculum of NBS’s MSc Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Business and MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship programmes.

This collaboration, titled GLE+ (Global Learning Experience plus) and Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Experience, integrates the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the curriculum, offering students practical opportunities to engage in responsible management by working with non-profit organisations in the USA.

The initiative blends theory with practice, allowing students from both universities to collaborate over a four-week period. The first three weeks are conducted online, followed by an in-person week in Chicago, where students visit the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) and the Field Museum.

At the GCFD, they also help pack food, gaining hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of organisational challenges. By the end of the project, student teams present their recommendations to these organisations, focusing on the specific issues they were assigned.

This partnership introduces a hybrid Collaborative Online Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé Learning (COIL) model, combining virtual collaboration with face-to-face interaction. This approach enables both institutions to explore innovative teaching methods while enhancing cross-cultural understanding and adaptability among students and colleagues.

The collaboration enriches the curriculum with experiential learning centred on responsible management and sustainable business practices. For NBS, this aligns with its role as a PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) Champion, reinforcing its commitment to ethical education. De Paul University gains similar benefits, particularly in fostering cross-cultural skills and practical application of SDG principles.

This ongoing collaboration has provided valuable insights into responsible management education, innovative teaching methods, and the importance of cross-cultural agility, reflecting the continued commitment of both institutions to enhancing their educational offerings. The relationship between NBS and De Paul University is further strengthened through potential joint research, staff exchanges, and international weeks.
