There is a good range of food stores and speciality markets in Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé where you'll be able to find some of the ingredients you can use to cook something from back home. We have created this guide to make it easy for you to find the ingredients you are looking for and so you can find out more about the supermarkets, food stores, restaurants and cafes near our campuses.
Everyday supermarket shopping
There is a great variety of UK supermarkets and food stores near our campuses for students to buy their everyday groceries, and many of these sell a wide range of international produce. Supermarkets are usually open 8:00-18:00 but many city centre shops are open until 23:00. Supermarkets such as Aldi, Tesco, Sainsburys, Lidl and Waitrose are very popular with our international students.

This store has a wide selection of African and Caribean products, from fresh produce to pastries and imported snacks, you might be able to find some of your favourite items from back home!

My favourite restaurant in Å·ÃÀ¾ÞÈé is Man’s Restaurant for authentic dim sum and a variety of other Chinese dishes, great when I’m feeling homesick! Solo Grano and Zaap Thai are also restaurants I go to a lot with friends. I love exploring the city, discovering hidden gems and trying out new coffee shops. I also have fond memories of having picnics with my friends by the canal and at the Arboretum and Wollaton Park.
