Bolsover Net Zero - Michelle Slater
Michelle has attended the Carbon Management training provided by the Bolsover Net Zero Innovation Programme.
Funded by the (UKSPF), The Bolsover Net Zero Business Support Programme provides a package of free support for businesses in the Bolsover district with their carbon management. We’re delivering a combined approach of bespoke on-site audits, consultancy and carbon management workshops that help you deliver on operational cost saving and cultivate a competitive edge for winning new business with sustainability conscious customers or clients.

This is not about doing anything too big, you know, depending on what your budget is. But if you take small steps and you review it every year, then you can make a huge difference.
"I went on the carbon Management workshop a few weeks ago now and the stand out thing is understanding the 'why', because we always talk about carbon management, but don't understand the bigger picture and what it means for our business.
It really dug deep into what it means for my business and the impact that we're having on the environment. How we can manage that impact to reduce it significantly or just reduce it slowly over the course of the next few years.
We can calculate what our emissions are now looking at our premises, our sites, our people and some of the processes that we. For example, we print an awful lot of stuff in our business and how we can reduce that printing, which will help carbon emissions, but also help our bottom line cost savings.
This is not about doing anything too big, you know, depending on what your budget is. But if you take small steps and you review it every year, then you can make a huge difference."
